BE IT RESOLVED THAT WHEREAS Seniors’ Month is an annual province-wide celebration; and WHEREAS seniors have contributed and continue to contribute immensely to the life and vibrancy of the Municipality of French River; and WHEREAS seniors continue to serve as leaders, mentors, volunteers and important and active member of our community; and Minutes of the REGULAR COUNCIL Meeting of May 21, 2025 Page 3 of 6 WHEREAS their contributions past and present warrant appreciation and recognition and their stories deserved to be told; and WHEREAS the health and well being of seniors is in the interest of all and further adds to the health and well-being of the Municipality of French River; and WHEREAS the knowledge and experience seniors pass on to us continues to benefit all; BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council hereby proclaims June 2025 as Seniors’ Month in the Municipality of French River and encourages all citizens of our community to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our seniors. AND FURTHER THAT Council approves a contribution of $1,000 towards the 2025 Seniors' Month Events as budgeted.
